Voting Over For National Mascot Of The Year; Find Out If Paydirt Pete Won On Jan. 1

Voting is over for the national mascot of the year competition.

UTEP’s Paydirt Pete competed against Old Dominion’s Big Blue in the championship round of the Capitol One National Mascot Of the Year competition.

The votes are being tallied and the winner will be revealed during the Capitol One Bowl on New Year’s Day on ESPN>

If Paydirt wins, it’ll mean $15,000 for the UTEP mascot program and major bragging rights for the University – and El Paso.
