Las Cruces Woman Charged After Allegedly Ripping Off Daughter-In-Law’s Nipple
The woman who allegedly twisted off her daughter-in-law’s nipple has been formally charged with aggravated battery against a household member with great bodily harm, the Las Cruces Sun-News reported.
Amelia Love Oveide, 46, has not been arrested on the charge. She was indicted on the third-degree felony by a Doa Ana County grand jury Thursday. Oveide allegedly grabbed the 30-year-old victim’s breast when the younger woman tried to intervene in a drunken argument between Oveide and her 27-year-old son early the morning of Dec. 12, according to a police report. Oveide could only be stopped when the younger woman allegedly started punching her in the face, the report stated.
