Sugar Detox: Day 5
Day 5: I think my scale is a dirty liar.
I got on the scale Monday morning thinking five days of healthy eating and a drastic reduction in calories would have knocked a couple of pounds off my flabby self.
Nope. I’m still 165.
I’m pretty upset about it. I felt thinner (possibly the placebo effect). My work pants only felt sort of tight instead of muffin-top breath-inhibiting tight.
I’m wondering how long it will take for me to lose weight. Has anyone experienced this ”lag” in weight loss? Does this mean I won’t lose weight at all?
I was really hoping to lose some weight just by eating right. If I have to add working out to my regime, I’m going to be very upset. Working out is so much … work. Yuck.
I know I should just be happy with feeling better and having more energy, but in the back of my mind I was really hoping I would drop a few pounds.
On a more positive note, the headaches were better on day five.
