Socorro Woman Reports Carjacking
A scary situation in Socorro after a woman reported to police that she had been carjacked Thursday Morning.
The woman said she was driving when her child, who was in the backseat, when he somehow got out of his car seat.
When she pulled over to secure the child, she told police a thin and young Hispanic man in a dark car pulled up and told her to get the baby and get out of the car.
The woman said the man put an unknown weapon to her back.
Police said the man took off with the woman’s 2005 grey, 4-door Chevy Cobalt.
He was last seen on Bauman Road.
