Domestic Fight May Have Led To A Wreck That Injured Six

Six people were hurt in a crash Thursday evening along Idaho Avenue near Luna Street in central Las Cruces.

Las Cruces police say a 33-year-old man was driving a Toyota pickup truck westbound on Idaho when he crossed over to the eastbound lanes and slammed a Mazda SUV head-on.

A woman was riding on the bed of the pickup and the two may have been arguing, police said.

The two were flown to University Medical Center in El Paso for treatment.

Four people in the SUV –including two children– were taken to Las Cruces hospitals.

A police spokesman told the ABC-7 New Mexico Mobile Newsroom on the scene that the driver of the pickup may face a DWI charge, too.
