‘Altercation’ Sends One Man To Local Hospital

Information is still limited on what police is calling an “altercation” in Downtown El Paso Sunday morning. It happened before 3 a.m. near the intersection of Santa Fe Street and Overland Avenue.

Authorities said several people were hurt in some kind of fight. One woman told ABC-7 her husband was somehow run over by a car.

“His leg was, like, hanging out of his pants and he was screaming, ‘Take me to the hospital, take me to the hospital.’ So we rushed over here as soon as possible,” said Arlene Carreon.

Carreon said her husband is in stable condition, but the hospital won’t let her see him. Officials at University Medical Center said that was at the request of police officials.

No one has been arrested.
