Man Killed After Crashing Into Tree In El Paso Upper Valley

El Paso police have identified the man killed in an upper valley crash Saturday night as Tyson Hubley, 31.

The crash happened in the 5100 block of Upper Valley Road just after 9:00 p.m., according to police.

Investigators said Hubley was driving a 2003 Ford F-250 truck north on Upper Valley Road.

They said Hubley was attempting to pass another vehicle when he lost control and crashed into a tree.

Police said the truck continued and ultimately came to rest after striking a wall and fence.

Hubley died at the scene.

Investigators believe speed is a factor but said it is unknown at this time whether alcohol played a role.

Hubley was wearing a seat belt, according to officers. No other people were injured.

This is the 29th traffic related death of 2011 as compared to 31 at this time in 2010.
