El Paso Police Launch Tip 411

The El Paso Police Department will launch Citizen Observers TIP411 system today, Tuesday, June 7, 2011.

The Police Department is now using TIP411 as a FREE text and web tool to submit completely anonymous information 24 hours a day, 7 ? days a week, in real time to our police department.

Your confidential TIP will be reviewed and a response will be given to you virtually immediately. Additionally, you will be able to two-way communicate in complete anonymity during the whole transaction via text if you wish.

This service will work with any text enabled cell phone. It is recommended you put TIP411 in your contact list.

Typical TIP?s include narcotics information, burglary information, subject wanted on warrants, school issues, drugs or weapons in school, etc. To send your text:

1.Text TIP to (847411) as the addressee / phone number 2.In the body of the message type EPPD , and your message. 3.Text ?STOP? to end conversation
