Five UTEP Football Games Picked Up For Television
EL PASO, TEXAS ? Five UTEP football games will be televised this fall ? including three on CBS Sports Network and two on FOX Sports Networks. Conference USA announced its full TV slate on Tuesday.
CBS Sports Network, formerly CBS College Sports, will beam three UTEP football games to a national television audience. The Miners? home game versus Houston, originally scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 1, has been moved to Thursday, Sept. 29 and will kick off at 6 p.m. MT. CBS Sports Network will also carry UTEP?s home game versus Southern Miss (Oct. 29, 6 p.m. MT), and road game at UCF. The UCF game has shifted from Saturday, Nov. 26 to Friday, Nov. 25 with a 5 p.m. MT start time.
FOX Sports Networks (FSN) will have coverage of UTEP?s games at SMU (Sept. 10) and Rice (Nov. 5). Kickoff times are to be announced for both games.
Conference USA Football on FOX Sports Networks The 2011 football season marks the beginning of a new long-term agreement between Conference USA and Fox Sports Media Group for national television rights to a variety of marquee Conference USA events, including a minimum of 20 regular-season football games. Through two dozen owned and affiliated networks, FOX Sports Networks (FSN) programming reaches more than 85 million homes across the country. Conference USA joins Fox’s impressive roster of other conference partners that includes the Big Ten, Big 12, Pac-12, ACC, and SEC.
