Investigators Asking for Help on Unsolved Murders

El Paso County, TEXAS- The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Crimes Against Persons Division is seeking assistance from the community in three unsolved homicides. Two occurred in October 2009, one occurred in August 2010.

HOMICIDE NO. 1: On Saturday, October 17, 2009, about 9:00 a.m., 22-year-old Victor Escudero was found in his home in the 400 block of Hartley Rd. in San Elizario, TX suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He died from his wounds later that month. CID Crimes Against Persons Detectives have been working the case ever since, but are asking the public to provide additional information to help bring a conclusion to this case.

HOMICIDE NO 2: Just 10 days later, on Sunday, October 25, 2009, Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the 3900 block of Desert Meadows in the Montana Vista area in reference to a Welfare Check. Upon arrival, Deputies discovered the body of 25-year-old Daniel Arceo. It was determined that he died of gunshot wounds at some time during the previous night. This case also remains open.

HOMICIDE NO 3: On Tuesday, August 24th, 2010, about 9:50 P.M., Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 400 block of N.W. “I” Street in Fabens reference a man down with gunshot wounds. Deputies entered the home and found 26-year-old Alejandro Castro man lying on the floor with no signs of life.
