9 People Charged in El Paso Westside Fight

Officers from the Westside Patrol charged nine individuals after responding to a Sunday morning fight.

The investigation revealed that fight had occurred at 2:16 a.m., Sunday, 06-19-2011 in the 4800 block of Los Reales Dr. During the altercation MANCILLAS, RAMIREZ, LUJAN, CERECERES, MARTINEZ, ZAMORA, APODACA, and 16-year old Juvenile worked to together as a 20-year old victim sustained serious head injuries from a brick used during the assault.

MANCILLAS ran from police as they arrived and was caught after a brief foot pursuit. Vivian VALDEZ was charged with Minor in Possession of Alcohol and booked into the El Paso County Jail.

The 16-yaer old, Juvenile Male was turned over to Juvenile Probation Department on Engaging In Organized Criminal Activity (E.I.O.C.A.) Aggravated Assault.

MANCILLAS ($26,500.00 bond), RAMIREZ ($25,750.00), LUJAN ($5,000.00), CERECERES ($5,000.00), MARTINEZ ($5,000.00), ZAMORA($5,000.00), APODACA ($5,000.00), were all charged E.I.O.C.A. ? Aggravated Assault. Additionally MANCILLAS was charged with Evading Arrest and Criminal Mischief while RAMIREZ was additionally charged with Criminal Mischief. The two criminal mischief charges stem from a vehicle that had its windows broken out during the altercation.
