Showers Finally Freshen Up Dry El Paso
And then came the rain.
After 29 days since El Paso registered a traceable amount of rain, some residents enjoyed a few refreshing drops Friday afternoon.
The storms were stronger in East and Northeast El Paso at 5:30, forcing drivers to slow down as they traveled along US-54.
The thick, dark clouds then moved over the Franklin Mountains onto West El Paso as the storm weakened.
The high temperature for the day did reach 100 degrees for the 22nd day this year, just before the rain and cloud cover provided some relief.
