Two Men Arrested For Possessing Cocaine

Two men have been arrested after an officer found cocaine in the car they were riding in, said El Paso Police Investigators.

Police said 26-year-old Guillermo Chavez was driving a Toyota Truck on the 6100 block of North Mesa with his headlights turned off at about 2:15 this morning.

When officers stopped Chavez, they discovered he had outstanding warrants for driving without insurance and speeding. The officer also found a bag of cocaine in the truck.

Chavez was booked into the El Paso County Jail with a bond of $2,508.91 for the municipal warrants and the controlled substance charge. Moreno’s bond was $1,500.00.

Antonio Moreno, 24, a passenger in the truck was also arrested. They were both charged with possessing a controlled substance under one gram.
