Car Goes Up In Flames After Early-Morning Wreck
Emergency crews tell ABC-7 it only took a matter of seconds for a car to erupt in flames following a three-vehicle freeway wreck early Saturday morning.
The crash happened around 3 a.m. on I-10 east near the McRae exit.
Emergency dispatchers said one of the vehicles involved in the crash struck a center median and then caught fire.
They said the driver and passengers were able to escape unharmed and no injuries were reported from any of the vehicles.
El Paso firefighters were able to put out the flames as police closed two lanes of I-10 for cleanup.
Police investigators have not said whether anyone will be cited for the crash.
