Rollover Crash Kills 1, Injures 5
A 40-year-old man was killed when the truck he was riding in rolled over on Montana Avenue in Far East El Paso, police said
Police said the the driver was switching lanes when he lost control and overcorrected, causing the truck to roll over. Police said the driver and five passengers — all men — were ejected from vehicle. One man was critically injured. It was not clear if the driver or a passenger died in the crash.
The Special Traffic Unit is on the scene and the east- and west-bound lanes of Montana will remain closed for three hours as of 10 a.m., police said.
El Paso County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Chris Acosta said the people in the truck were on their way to Dell City to do iron work.
