Mother, Son Allegedly Caught Shoplifting
An unusual case of shoplifting Saturday afternoon at a grocery store in Northeast El Paso.
A mother and son got caught allegedly shoplifting at the Albertson’s on the 9100 block of Dyer.
An employee approached the two and that is when police say the mother ran out of the store, leaving her 13-year-old son behind.
“It’s terrible I think it’s disgusting that a mother would do that to her child,” said a shopper that ABC-7 spoke with.
The boy was handcuffed and taken into police custody, he now faces theft charges.
Police say they are still looking for the mother.
