El Paso Police arrested a man they say robbed a woman at knife-point early Saturday morning.

Investigators told ABC-7 Hector Martinez, 35, was walking with the woman down Mesa Street around 2:36 a.m.

Police said when the pair reached the 800 block of East Yandell, Martinez pulled a knife on the victim and demanded her purse.

According to investigators, Martinez took off with a large amount of cash. He was arrested a short distance away on Montana Avenue.

Police said Martinez had more than one knife on him.

He was charged with aggravated robbery and booked into the El Paso County Jail on a bond of $25,000.00.
