YISD Files Appeal To Change District Accountability Rating
The Ysleta Independent School District has filed an appeal to the Texas Education Agency in hopes of changing their accountability rating from “academically acceptable” to “recognized”.
A YISD spokeswoman said one students’ incorrectly categorized science score on the TAKS test caused that student’s school, Rachland Hills, to be rated “academically unacceptable.”
The spokeswoman said if the appeal is accepted, Ranchland Hills’ rating will change, which in turn will change the entire district’s rating.
