Men Face Felony Charge After 3rd DWI Arrests

Two men face felony charges after being arrested on suspicion of a third DWI during the weekend.

Police said 28-year-old Walter East, of the 5200 block of Sweetwater Drive, was driving a 2010 Dodge Charger and changed lanes without signaling about 3:40 a.m. on the 9600 block of Dyer Street. Police said East showed various signs of intoxication and was booked into the El Paso County Jail, with bond set at $5,000. He had been convicted of DWI in 2009 and 2011.

About 3:25 a.m. Monday, police said 24-year-old Salomon Casas was speeding in a Grand Am on the 1000 block of Zaragoza Road before being pulled over. The officer, police said, determined that Casas was intoxicated and he was booked into the El Paso County Jail, with bond set at $3,129. Casas, who was convicted DWI in 2009 and 2010, had multiple outstanding traffic warrants, police said.
