Bank Robber Strikes in Las Cruces

Las Cruces Police and the FBI are investigating a bank robbery at the Wells Fargo bank at 2400 N. Main Street.

Police were called to the bank shortly after 9 a.m. Wednesday, after a man walked into the bank and displayed a note that demanded money.

He left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash and was last seen leaving the bank heading southbound on foot.

The suspect was described as a slender white male in his 50s, with a gray mustache and trimmed beard.

Surveillance photos of the suspect show him wearing a gray, long-sleeve New Mexico State University T-shirt and a baseball cap.

The FBI will release additional information as it becomes available.
