Investigators: Realtor Found Dead Inside Upscale Las Cruces Home

Dona Ana County Sheriff’s investigators tell ABC-7 that they have identified the realtor found dead inside an upscale Las Cruces home Friday afternoon.

Authorities said the body of Jack L. Hadley, 62, was discovered inside his house in the 5600 block of Camino Escondida in southeast Las Cruces.

Deputies and fire crews were initially called out to the home to respond to a fire.

Authorities said that the flames were already put out when they arrived, something they deemed to be suspicious.

Investigators on the scene told ABC-7’s New Mexico Mobile Newsroom that the fire was contained to one room, the same room where Hadley’s body was discovered.

According to Sheriff’s officials, the fire appeared to have been set to destroy evidence and is not believed to have contributed to Hadley’s death.

Investigators are hoping to learn more once an autopsy is completed.
