Police: Suspect In 2002 Capital Murder Found In Juarez
El Paso Police tell ABC-7 that they have arrested and booked a man wanted for a 2002 capital murder.
Investigators said Alfredo Holguin, 37, was stopped in Juarez earlier in the week.
They said further investigation by Mexican authorities revealed that Holguin had an outstanding Capital Murder warrant in El Paso.
Holguin was deported from Mexico to the U.S. on Friday evening, according to officials. He was then booked into the El Paso county jail without bond.
Holguin is accused in the 2002 shooting death of 22-year-old Mark Anthony Cedillo. Police said Cedillo’s body was found in the early morning of October 6th in a shopping center parking lot on the 1400 block of Lee Trevino in east El Paso.
Police issued warrants for Holguin and a second suspect, Benito Holguin.
According to officials, Benito Holguin was murdered in Juarez about two years ago.
