SUV Rolls Over, Lands On Railroad Tracks

El Paso police say a 22-year-old man is in ‘serious but stable’ condition following a crash early Sunday morning in the city’s upper valley.

Investigators told ABC-7 they were called out to the 3900 block of Doniphan Drive at around 1 a.m.

According to police, the driver of a Chevrolet Trailblazer was headed north when he lost control and rolled the SUV several times.

The vehicle came to a rest on nearby railroad tracks.

Police said the driver, who was wearing a seat belt, was the only person in the car. Investigators said they suspect alcohol played a part in the crash, though they are awaiting toxicology results.

The driver has not been identified at this time.
