Man Stabbed In Cheeks With Screwdriver In Central El Paso

A man was stabbed early Saturday morning in both cheeks with a screwdriver in central El Paso, according to the El Paso Police Department.

Officers said they responded to the Stevens Street and Mobile Avenue area around 2:45 a.m. Saturday.

An investigation by police revealed that the victim, who is only described as a 35-year-old man, was walking in the area when he was approached by several men.

According to police, the meeting became physical, resulting in the assault. The victim was taken to University Medical Center.

The victim told police he hadn’t decided if he wants to press charges against his attackers at this time.
