Reward Offered In Armed Robbery Of Navy Federal Credit Union

The FBI announced a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of an armed man who robbed the Navy Federal Credit Union on Aug. 11 in El Paso’s Northeast.

The robber entered the bank about 10:30 a.m. at 4717 Hondo Pass. He brandished a handgun and instructs everyone in the bank to, “Get down. Get down.” He then approached the teller and said, “Get me the money and don’t (expletive) it up.”

The teller handed the robber an undisclosed amount of money and he fled the bank on foot through the rear exit. He is described as a 25- to 30-year-old black man about 6 feet and weighing 190 pounds. He was wearing dark blue/black gym pants, a light-colored hooded sweatshirt, a tan bandanna, dark sunglasses, gym gloves, and a knapsack or backpack.
