UPDATE: Driver Killed In Montana Crash Identified
El Paso police have released the name of the 21-year-old man killed early Saturday morning following a rollover crash on the city’s east side.
Investigators said Arnaldo Gallegos, of the 3200 block of Wedgewood, failed to yield the right-of-way to another vehicle around 6:20 a.m.
The crash happened at the intersection of Montana and Oasis, near Lee Trevino.
According to investigators, Gallegos was headed north in a red Jeep Liberty when he crashed into a white Plymouth Neon that was headed east on Montana.
Police said the impact sent the Liberty rolling, partially ejecting Gallegos who was not wearing a seat belt. The Jeep came to a rest on its side.
The driver of the Neon, a 52-year-old man, suffered non-life threatening injuries, police said.
Investigators told ABC-7 that they do not believe is speed is a factor in the crash. Toxicology test results are pending.
