Widespread Freezing Temperatures Throughout Region
As predicted, the coldest front of the season would bring freezing temperatures across much of southern New Mexico and west Texas.
Las Cruces dropped to 28 degrees, which makes it the coldest morning this fall. Ruidoso and Silver City each dropped to 19 degrees, while El Paso only made it down to 37.
The cold air will stay in place the rest of today, causing temperatures to slowly climb to near 60.
Take the jacket and blanket if you’re heading out to the Sun Bowl tonight for Coronado vs. Franklin, along with the exhibition game between UTEP and Eastern Colorado at the Don Haskins Center.
