NMSU Student Found Dead In Dorm; No Foul Play Suspected

New Mexico State University police said a student was found dead in her dorm.

Campus police, who found 19-year-old Emily Lain dead in her dorm room at Garcia Resident Hall, said her family had called for a welfare check.

Lein is from Albuquerque. Preliminary autopsy reports indicate that Lein had a pre-existing medical condition, which is the likely cause of death

Officials don’t know how long she was dead, but NMSU police said there is no reason to believe there was foul play involved in her death.
