Man, Woman Accused Of Stealing Car & $80 In Meat

A stolen car, a person nearly run over, and about $80 worth of stolen packaged meat all led to the arrest of a man and a woman in West El Paso on Friday.

Police say 33-year-old Mario Reynoso and 30-year-old Angela Viscaino caught the eye of a manager at the Albertsons on the 3100 block of North Mesa Street when they walked out of the store with several unpaid packages of meat.

They reportedly jumped into a Pontiac Grand Am and fled, almost running over the manager who had followed them to get the car’s license plate number.

Police caught up with and arrested Reynoso and Viscaino just a few moments later.

Investigators then discovered the car they were driving had been reported stolen just a few days ago.

Reynoso and Viscaino are both charged with aggravated robbery and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
