El Paso Man Accused Of Having, Sharing Child Pornography
An El Paso man accused of sharing child pornography over the Internet had child pornography displayed on his computer when officers executed a warrant Friday at his home, police said.
Police said that on Oct. 6, 31-year-old Carlos Gutirrez, of the 600 block Sierra Street, shared a file depicting a child engaging in a sexual act on the afternoon of Oct. 6. On Friday, officers said Gutierrez was found to be in possession of child pornography displayed on his computer
Gutierrez was arrested on suspicion of possession of child pornography with intent to promote and possession of child pornography. He was booked into the El Paso County Jail with bond set at $100,000. Police said Gutirrez also had seven outstanding municipal court warrants.
An investigation into Gutierrez was led by the El Paso Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Unit, which is comprised of FBI agents and El Paso police detectives.
