Very strong winds return to the Borderland today as a strong storm system to our east continues to strengthen. Peak wind gusts could reach 45 mph along the eastern slopes.
There is also a critical fire danger due to lower humidity values, so outdoor burning is not recommended.
More winds return Friday due to a strong cold front that will arrive early Friday morning, dropping temperatures back to the 50s.
