El Paso Band The Royalty Getting Some MTV Buzz
El Paso has produced its share of musicians that have broken big nationally including Bobby Fuller and At the Drive-In.
The next group that could follow in those footsteps is The Royalty. The band, who recently spent a few weeks in Los Angeles working on a new album for Victory Records, is currently featured on MTV’s Buzzworthy blog.
“There latest (song) is ‘How I Like ‘Em,’ a demo the band released to celebrate the signing. The track shows off their instrumental chops and singer Nicole Boudreau’s soulful voice, which reminds us of Letters to Cleo frontwoman/HERO Kay Hanley,” the blog states. “We can hear why the band caught Victory’s ears.”
