2 Arrested After Confrontation Inside East El Paso Pizza Restaurant

El Paso Police officers arrested two men after they allegedly fought inside a Peter Piper Pizza on the 12100 block of Montana, according to police.

Police said 23-year old Jesus Enrique Rodriguez “flashed” gang signs and confronted 20-year Alfonso Perez and a male relative. According to witnesses, Rodriguez allegedly produced a knife and chased a male outside the business.

Rodriguez immediately returned inside the restaurant and chased Perez into the game room area, police said. Perez continued to flee from Rodriquez eventually running outside the business followed by Rodriguez. An employee immediately locked the door to the business to prevent Rodriguez from re-entering the business.

According to witnesses, once outside, Perez threw a rock at the business breaking a window. Officers were able to arrive prior to the parties involved leaving the area.

The officers subsequently arrested and booked Rodriguez into the El Paso County Detention Facility on two counts of Aggravated Assault With a Deadly Weapon with a total bond of thirty thousand dollars ($30,000.00). Perez was arrested and booked on one count of Criminal Mischief Over $500/ Under $1500 and one outstanding traffic warrant with a total bond of two thousand seven hundred sixty-one dollars ($2,761.43).
