Fallen Trooper’s Wife, Crash Witness Mourn Together

The Texas State trooper killed in a car crash last weekend was laid to rest today.

Thursday evening, Javier Arana Jr.’s loved ones honored his memory during a visitation service.

Today, his funeral mass will take place at Most Holy Trinity Church at 1 p.m. In Northeast El Paso. Law enforcement personnel from different agencies are already gathering at the church.

The burial service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.

The procession’s route begins after the service at the church, which is at McCombs and Trans Mountain, then to Railroad and all the way south to underneath the spur 601 overpass. The procession will end at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.

If you normally use Railroad at that time, you might want to take a different route.
