Fashion Retailer Offers Clothes Real-Time ‘Liked’ On Facebook; Talking About Ourselves Gives Us Pleasure
People spend nearly 40 percent of their speech everyday devoted to telling others what we think or feel and the reason we do it is because it feels very rewarding.
Researchers have found that talking about ourselves triggers the same sensation of pleasure in the brain as food or money. It is such a good feeling in fact some people in the study were willing to forgo money so they could talk about themselves.

A Brazilian fashion retailer, C&A has come up with a novel approach through its “fashion like” initiative. C&A has posted photos of some of its clothing items on its Facebook page and invited customers to “like” the ones that appealed to them. Special hangers on the racks in the physical store then display the votes in real time.
