Early-Morning Aggravated Assault Reported In East El Paso County

Multiple units arrived on the scene of an aggravated assault in east El Paso County early Saturday morning, according to a dispatcher with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Department.

The incident occurred around 1:15 a.m. in Montana Vista area off John Henry Road.

ABC-7 received multiple calls into the newsroom from viewers that shots had been fired in the area where the callers said a fight broke out and a car hit someone.

Our photographer on the scene heard the same story from witnesses in the area.

Dispatchers told ABC-7 the investigation is still underway and have not confirmed that anything other than an aggravated assault was reported in that area.

Investigators at the scene told ABC-7 they were combing the scene for evidence that shots were fired.
