Reports: Gunfire, explosions in Watertown, Mass.; 1 suspect in custody, other sought
Law enforcement in Massachusetts have arrested one man and are searching for another in Watertown, Mass.
The Boston Globe, citing an unnamed official with knowledge of the investigation, stated that the person arrested in Watertertown was one of the men suspected of being a part of the Boston Marathon bombing on Monday.
WHDH-TV in Boston was reporting that the person in custody had died.
WCVB-TV in Boston reported that there was gunfire and explosions in Watertown. The two men were being sought in connection with a carjacking before the alleged gunfire and explosion, according to Boston-area TV reports.
The Watertown incident occurred the same night a police officer was shot and killed on the MIT campus, not far from Watertown.
Both incidents happened just hours after the FBI released photos and video of two suspects in the Boston Marathon explosions. Law enforcement have not said if any of the incidents are related.
