Manhattan Heights Area Predator Still Not Caught
Neighbors living in the Manhattan Heights area say they are living in fear.
El Paso police say a sex predator who made his first attack in late May, is continuing to break into neighborhood homes in the middle of the night, preying on women.
There have been three sexual assaults in the neighborhood, the latest incident happened less than a week ago.
“I sleep on the couch in our living room now,” says a husband and father who lives across the street from the home where the most recent attack happened. “I have to look out for my kids and my wife while they’re asleep. It’s scary.”
The neighbor, who asked not to be identified, said the woman who was attacked moved away the next day. The neighbor pointed to where the door had been broken in by the predator.
Police have updated their description of the suspect. They say he is Hispanic, between 5’8″ and 5’10, with a close-cropped or shaved haircut. They say he has tattoos on his arms, of which his left-arm tattoo has color. Police say the man also has a tattoo on his left leg. An earlier description included information that the predator had neck tattoos, but police say they now believe that is incorrect.
“It’s scary,”area resident Bridgett Blake said. “It makes me do a double take on people. It makes me think, ‘I don’t know what you’re capable of.”
