Montwood and Knights Pick Up Wins

The Montwood Rams have clinched a playoff birth and the Onate Knights end their season on a positive. At the SAC the Montwood Rams shut out the Eastwood Troopers 21-0 to clinch a playoff birth, and eliminate Eastwood from the post season at the same time.

At the Field of Dreams, Onate defeated Alamogordo 33-28 to end their season at 3-7, 1-3.

With Montwood’s win and Franklin’s win over El Dorado here is how the 1-5A playoff scenario looks.

-Coronado wins the district outright with a win over Bel Air Friday.

-Montwood, Franklin, and El Dorado High have all clinched playoff birth as has Coronado.

-If Coronado defeats Bel Air then Coronado and Montwood will be in Division 2 of the playoffs.

-El Dorado and Franklin High School will be in Division 1 of the playoffs.
