Miners Take Down Rams

The Miners dominated on the glass Tuesday night, to help propel them to a 82-74 win over the Colorado State Rams. With the win the Miners improve to (3-1), and the Rams drop to (2-2).

The win was also was the end of several streaks. UTEP snapped a 7 game losing streak to Colorado State, coach Floyd got his first win as UTEP coach against the Rams, and the Miners snapped a three game home losing streak to their former WAC rival.

Vince Hunter had a double double finishing with 11 points & 15 rebounds, and McKenzie Moore led the team in points with 17 on 5-10 shooting.

UTEP will now have a few days to rest before facing NMSU for the second time this year Saturday night at the Don.
