FAA: Glider crashes at Horizon Airport, pilot dead

Federal Aviation Administration confirmed a 75-year-old pilot died when his air glider crashed at the Horizon Airport on Saturday.

According to DPS Trooper Elizabeth Barney, the male pilot had complications during take off.

He was transported to University Medical Center withinjuries, Barney said.

Horizon Airport, a private Airport, is near Pelicano Drive and Berryville Street.
