Update: El Paso Police ID man arrested in West Side bar stabbing

El Paso Police have identified a man who allegedly stabbed another man Wednesday night inside a West Side bar.

Just after eleven 11 p.m. 29-year old Ismael Pacheco was at the Graham’s Corner in the 5900 block of N. Mesa when 47-year old Michael Leon Tyson walked into the bar and allegedly confronted Pacheco, according police.

Police said Tyson produced a knife and allegedly began to attack Pacheco, stabbing him multiple times on the torso and leg area.

An off-duty El Paso Police officer at the bar confronted Tyson just outside the bar when he became aware of the stabbing.

Tyson complied with the officer’s orders and was detained until uniformed police showed up.
