Anderson Cooper: The fact is, I’m gay
Anderson Cooper is more accustomed to reporting news instead of having his personal life be the subject of major headlines.
The 45-year-old host of “Anderson Cooper 360” recently revealed he is gay in an open letter to his longtime friend Andrew Sullivan of the Daily Beast.
“The fact is, I’m gay, always have been, always will be, and I couldn’t be any more happy, comfortable with myself, and proud,” the CNN anchor wrote.
Cooper said he dodged questions about his sexuality in the past for professional reasons and to “maintain some level of privacy.”
“As long as a journalist shows fairness and honesty in his or her work, their private life shouldn’t matter, ” Anderson said.
