El Paso Police arrest soccer coach for alleged indecency with a child

El Paso Police have arrested a 29-year-old Horizon City man for alleged indecency with a child.

On Thursday, El Paso Police’s Crimes Against Children Unity arrested Jorge Muniz after he turned himself in when he learned of an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

Muniz is a local soccer coach who offers private lessons to male and female players, according to police.

Police officials said detectives developed probable cause to arrest Muniz because in May he allegedly committed acts against a 16-year-old female which constituted indecency with a child.

Muniz was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on one count of Indecency With a Child with a bond of $25,000.

Police are asking anyone with information or possible victims encouraged to contact the police at 832-4400.
