Police catch teen driver wanted in connection with deadly hit-and-run
El Paso Police have caught the teen they say ran over and killed a woman with his car.
Miguel Tinoco, 19, was captured Sunday night and has been charged with the homicide of 23-year-old Miriam Aguirre.
Police said that at around 1 a.m. Sunday neighbors started complaining about a house party on the 100 block of Rio Monte in the Lower Valley.
Neighbors told ABC-7 that Tinoco was intoxicated and left the party. They also said he urinated in their yard and then got into an altercation with Tinoco before he left the altercation.
After hearing the scuffle people attending the party crossed the street near where the scuffle occurred.
Tinoco then allegedly struck five people with his car, killing one woman and sending the others to the hospital with serious injuries, according to police.
Neighbors told ABC-7 they believe Tinoco hit the wrong group he was after because they said he was really after them.
