Ysleta ISD to ask governor to approve special bond election

The Ysleta Independent School District board of trustees voted Wednesday night to ask Gov. Rick Perry for permission for a special election this summer.

The special election, if approved, would take place July 19 and would be for Ysleta ISD residents to vote on a $155 million bond election.

The school board voted 4-3 Wednesday to ask Perry for permission for the election.
