Pedestrian killed in Central El Paso Thursday night
A Hispanic male in his 60s was killed at about 10 p.m. Thursday when he was hit by a truck at 300 N. Santa Fe at Main Street.
El Paso Police Investigators said the unidentified pedestrian was attempting to cross Santa Fe against the light when he was struck by 31-year-old Ismael Rodriguez, who was driving a Ford truck and proceeding through the intersection when the pedestrian attempted to cross.
Rodriguez was unable to stop in time and struck the man.
Investigators did not find any indictors of speed or alcohol and no charges are pending.
