Man accused of having child porn worked at EPISD

The man accused by federal law enforcement of having child pornography worked at El Paso Independent School District according to the criminal affidavit on Mark Edward Erhardt.

Erhardt was arrested last week after agents with Homeland Security Investigations searched his Northeast home. According to the affidavit, he said he previously worked with disadvantaged elementary students.

It was not immediately clear when he was employed with EPISD and for how long.

According to the documents, Erhardt told agents he used file sharing sofwarte to download and save “teen porn” and “young porn” onto DVDs.

During their search, authorities also discovered a meth lab in Erhardt’s kitchen.

He said he allowed a friend to make the meth there in exchange for “a bowl’s worth.”
