Amarillo ends Andress’ season in elite 8

The Andress High School boys basketball team’s season has come to end.

Amarillo defeated Andress 54-44 on Saturday with a spot in the state final four on the line.

The Eagles were ranked No. 1 in 4A in the state by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches and were looking to bring home El Paso’s first state basketball championship since Eastwood back in 1976.
