Man charged in November ’13 wrong-way traffic fatality pleads not guilty
Larry Phillip Otero, the man indicted on one count of intoxication manslaughter in a Nov. 2013 traffic fatality, has pleaded not guilty.
He made the plea in court on Wednesday and his trial could start in October, according to court officials.
The accident report for the November crash states Otero was allegedly driving the wrong way on I-10 East at Zaragoza in the early morning of Nov. 14, 2013 when he struck a car being driven by 29-year-old Gabriel Morales.
El Paso Police arrested and charged Otero in mid-January in the fatal traffic collision.
